With her daring utopias and works such as the The Book of the City of Ladies, the French-Italian writer Christine de Pizan
(* around 1364) brought the first feminist debate into play as early as the late Middle Ages. How did it develop and where do we stand today? Eva Baumann and her team follow the footsteps of the extraordinary woman and build a city of women of the present, #herland.

In an open stage landscape without a center, the worlds of experience and the poetry of Christine's are colliding with current role models, clichés and emotionally charged discourses ranging from the gender gap to #metoo. Utopias mingle with realities, documentary with fiction and the distant past with the present. In the interplay of dance, music, video projections, language and female power, new perspectives open up to the audience, which make it clear that even more than 600 years after Christine de Pizan, there are no objective truths and no simple answers.
