Personne oder Fräulein Irgendwer
a cineastic dance installation
Ceci est une personne.
Personne n'est ici.
(French personne (f): the person or also nobody or somebody).
Mirror, Mirror on the Wall: Personne or Fräulein Irgendwer (Miss Anybody) explores our social media culture by looking in the mirror, always a symbol of introspection and self-affirmation - as well as self-alienation. In it, the protagonist of the surreal role-play moves between self-presentation and self-reflection.
In the soloistic experimental arrangement, the medium of film meets the possibilities of choreographic montage: the filmed gaze into the camera and the gaze onto the film give rise to a multiply fractured dialogue between the self and the desired image. In literally mirrored images and spaces, illusion and reality, private and public, ego and image oscillate.
The audience in the freely accessible stage space also becomes part of the production. For the durational performance, set up as loops connected one after the other, turns the audience into active voyeurs and involves them in the game of seeing and being seen.

Press comments
" (…) As in a huge mosaic, the movements grow together into a complex unity, creating a disarming role play with an electrifying impact."
(Alexander Walther, OnlineMerker)
"(…) While the dancer circles around a projection screen, her film double changes outfits for each encounter. Glimpses of private rooms, a mini theatre and a construction site combined to create an oppressive psychological thriller. The dance brings props from these into the present of the performance. In this complex game between seeing and being seen, the audience takes on the role of voyeurs."
(Andrea Kachelrieß, Stuttgarter Zeitung)
